Define the visual task
A social transition and an accurate product insert are not the same visual task. Do not reduce both to a score for spectacular motion. Define subject, movement, aspect ratio and the destination edit in one brief, along with explicit rejection conditions. That gives both services a fair opportunity to solve the job you actually need.
Check the current account terms
Current Pika information and older help pages use different plan labels, and the former Dream Machine destination has changed too. Establish model access, usage, commercial scope and billing period for the actual checkout rather than relying on an older comparison. If relevant documents conflict, resolve the specific contract before publishing client work.
Estimate from a small trial
Use one cleared image and one brief, logging candidate generation and revisions. A single accepted clip does not establish a guaranteed monthly output count: a different product or aspect ratio can change the difficulty. Retain rejected attempts so the estimate reflects the work required to reach acceptance, not just the selected output.
Judge the completed edit
Place both candidates into the same edit with matched text, narration and duration. Add exact labels in a controlled step and check that the visual does not imply unsupported product facts. Prefer the workflow that leads to an approvable deliverable over the one that merely makes the generation interface easier to explore.
An additional-format trial
Include a second format after accepting the first landscape asset. If the main subject is lost in portrait framing, the job may require a new composition rather than a simple crop. Compare the attempts and finishing work needed for that additional delivery. This reveals recurring campaign effort that a successful first image or clip would otherwise hide.
