Choose one working surface for the trial
A phone-recorded clip and a long recording edited at a desk create different working needs. Choose the actual device and account, then finish one short video from import to export. If another device is part of production, test the handoff rather than assuming an identical editable project appears there automatically. Record which source files the next editor needs.
Approve structure before adding effects
First settle the statements and captions that must remain. Choosing a template too early can force the explanation into an unsuitable structure. For portrait delivery, inspect the subject, factual labels and player controls together. Judge whether viewers can follow the intended point, not simply whether the edit uses the largest number of attractive effects.
Test the final export before committing
A previewable effect does not establish the same export entitlement. Download the intended file during the trial, before a delivery deadline depends on it. Compare an edit without the restricted material if that still communicates the point. Also verify the account and purchase route; a subscription bought for one login or regional arrangement should not be assumed to cover another.
Check supplied materials individually
Separate your own footage from supplied templates, music and other materials. CapCut’s commercial-material guidance identifies marked content, but the exact material agreement and destination still matter. Retain a record of the selected asset and applicable conditions. Reusing music in another project is a new scope check, not an automatic consequence of having paid for the editor.
Test revision and exit as well as creation
Correct one product name or caption after completing the trial and export again under the same requirements. If the workflow is unsuitable, organize source media and deliverables before checking renewal controls through the purchase route. A rendered video preserves the output; it does not prove that another editor can reopen the original effects, timing and project structure unchanged.
