Keep a reproducible starting environment

Preserve startup commands, extensions, launch configuration, shortcuts and the initial Git state. Before evaluating answers, confirm that ordinary tests and debugging still work. For a hypothetical settings form, investigate a missing-value submission that erases an existing value. Independently decide whether blank input should be rejected or deliberately saved, and define ordinary save and cancel behavior. Review the diagnosis before editing, then ask a second person to inspect both the patch and stored results. Add concurrent-agent evaluation only after this single task is reproducible. This is a proposed pilot, not a hands-on result for Devin or legacy Windsurf. It makes requirement preservation observable before parallel operation adds another source of complexity.

Map execution and authority

Starting from a local interface does not establish local-only inference or execution. List the selected agent, execution location, readable code and service connections. Treat tests, external API operations and release actions as separate capabilities, and inspect them with development data. A reviewer should be able to connect changed files to the checks actually executed. Buying more allowance does not itself justify broader production authority. Keep those settings and decisions separate, especially when a deadline makes additional capacity attractive but the required task still has a narrow operational boundary.

Retire the old setup after handoff

Migration is complete when the next maintainer can start, revise and verify the project, not merely open the new interface. Preserve the accepted patch, required configuration names, checks and untested conditions in the repository. Before changing the older agreement, inspect renewal, lost features and independently billed providers. Removing an application does not establish that billing or remote access ended. Verify each relationship in its owning account. Recreate the settings the new workflow actually requires instead of copying every historical permission or configuration without understanding its continued purpose.
