Prices exclude tax, currency conversion and introductory discounts. Different currencies and billing periods are not directly comparable. Japanese support can apply to input, output or the interface; check each tool’s scope.
Distinguish the interface from the model
Firefly’s partner-model information includes Runway. Comparing the two applications therefore does not necessarily compare two unrelated generators. Record the interface, selected model and account being billed. This separates an access-and-workflow decision from a model-quality question and avoids attributing every difference to the name shown on the application’s homepage.
Use one shot brief
Choose a small real brief, such as an insert behind a product explanation. Keep reference material, composition, aspect ratio and acceptance criteria aligned, then log finishing work. Comparing unrelated official demonstration reels cannot establish which account or interface is better for delivering your specific shot under a deadline.
Compare attempts through delivery
Measure the attempts and revisions needed to approve the shot under each actual configuration. Credits are not interchangeable units across providers. If an existing Adobe subscription is part of the decision, verify that it includes the relevant video operation rather than assuming every feature advertised in Firefly is already covered by that account.
Check permissions and production records
Do not extend an Adobe-model assurance to every partner-model output. Retain the selected model, source image, date and applicable agreement alongside the approved asset. The practical choice also includes handoff to your current editor and the ability to make a consistent revision later; generation is one stage of that larger production task.
An existing-account decision
An existing Adobe account does not establish access to the specific video operation or partner model needed. Compare incremental access with a separate subscription for the same workload. If one path reduces the effort of returning assets to the current editor, record that time. Keep this workflow benefit distinct from any claim that the underlying generation model performs better.
