What to test on free access
The official pricing page lists individual free access. Check the features and limits shown for your own account, then try two small changes and one investigation. Note interruptions and the task that caused them. This is more informative than assuming that a successful first prompt establishes enough allowance for daily use.
Define why you need paid access
Consider paid access when limits block necessary work or the required model is unavailable on your current entitlement. Do not justify an upgrade using features you do not intend to use. This guide does not assert a universal paid entry price; confirm the current offer for your region and account before committing.
Separate baseline allowance and credits
Eligible paid users can use AI credits beyond baseline allowance under documented conditions. Waiting for a refresh and continuing with credits are different budgeting choices. If you permit overages, identify who controls the setting and where consumption is reconciled. Baseline availability should not be read as an unlimited promise.
Use a two-part monthly budget
Budget separately for the plan fee and permitted additional usage. With no overages, account for waiting when allowance is exhausted. If urgent work justifies extra usage, record the task against that spending. Estimate hosting, databases and other services for the resulting application separately from the development tool.
Example: deciding what happens at a limit
A learning task without a deadline may comfortably wait for a free allowance to refresh. A release-blocking correction may require a different access arrangement. Decide that policy before reaching a limit: identify the entitlement, whether extra consumption is enabled and who can authorize an exception. This is a workflow choice, not a claim that every urgent task requires a paid upgrade.
Recheck fast-changing terms
Model availability and allowances can change. Save the offer and date you actually accepted, then reassess your workload at renewal. If repeated rewrites or unclear requests caused the interruption, improving the task process may help more than buying a higher tier. Upgrade only when you can identify the capacity you need.
