Set the unit of revision

Break a request into a contained change, such as adding one filter to an existing list. Supply current behavior, the desired difference, preserved conditions and sample data. When the preview looks right, inspect the code rationale and persistence path too. Generated line count is not a completion measure. Separate unrelated libraries or screen changes before requesting the next feature. This creates a visible relationship between consumption and accepted work, and makes it possible to reject an unnecessary addition without throwing away the useful part of a larger generated project.

Understand project-reading costs

Official token guidance explains that reading, understanding and synchronizing project files contributes to consumption. A short request in a larger project need not cost the same as one in a small example. Do not compare Bolt tokens directly with another vendor’s messages or credits. Record the same feature and revision against the balance, alongside repair time. When narrowing context, retain relevant types and callers. Removing evidence just to shorten the prompt can cause repeated investigation, so the goal is a focused, sufficient task description rather than the fewest words possible.

Use the verified billing period

The official page checked for this review lists Pro at USD25 billed monthly, starting with ten million monthly tokens. This is a month-to-month offer, distinct from an earlier annual-equivalent figure. Check taxes, selected capacity and publication conditions at checkout. Free access has both daily and monthly limits, which are not a promise of enough capacity for a continuing project. Identify whether the paid trigger is a domain, required feature or exhausted allowance. Buy the required usable workflow rather than treating every feature on a larger plan as part of the business case.

Hypothetical task: add a list filter

For a hypothetical inventory list, add an in-stock filter. Define zero results, no filter, combination with text search and clearing the condition. Verify that editing a quantity still persists and that reloading produces the correct list. Keep redesign outside the task and return failed inputs with expected results when requesting correction. This is a proposed exercise, not a performance measurement. It tests whether useful revisions preserve existing behavior after the first generation. Preserve the accepted diff alongside unresolved issues so the next request does not accidentally assume every observed problem was repaired.

Inspect source control and deployment

Current GitHub guidance covers importing repositories, synchronizing code and working with branches. After creating a backup route, ask another maintainer to retrieve and start the source. Git alone does not recreate databases, external services, credentials or deployment authority. In the published destination, save input, read it from another screen and check signed-out and other-user behavior where relevant. Separate preview verification from published-app verification. This makes an environment-setting discrepancy easier to distinguish from an application defect and establishes what the source-control handoff actually preserves.

Check cancellation and continuing ownership

Official cancellation guidance keeps paid access active through the current period and moves the account to Free for the next one. Inspect remaining-token and renewal conditions in the actual account. Preserve source and required data, then decide separately whether a published application continues. Disconnecting an integration is not necessarily ending billing, and ending billing is not a complete operating migration. Require the next maintainer to reproduce a small change, verify it and publish through the intended process. This leaves the service maintainable when the development-tool arrangement changes.
