Model recurring content first
Separate occasionally edited pages from growing case studies, jobs or articles. List the fields, categories and expected item volume of recurring content before checking CMS limits. Decide with the eventual editor whether duplicated layouts remain manageable, rather than making that assumption during the design demo.
Check the publishing offer
Official materials describe Free access and paid Site plans, with custom-domain publishing among the paid requirements. A working prototype URL does not establish readiness for the company domain. Combine forms, CMS needs, bandwidth and language requirements in one purchase checklist.
Rehearse the editor’s job
Ask the future editor to add a case study, supply image descriptions, correct a link and review the result before publication. Assign responsibility for content and layout changes. Ease of use for the designer is not evidence that recurring editorial work has been successfully handed over.
Budget localization as an ongoing process
Publishing Japanese text and maintaining an English version are different workloads. Inventory shared images, translated strings, contact details and prices, then check localization entitlements. Assign someone to compare both versions after commercial or recruitment changes so one language does not retain outdated promises.
Evaluate a twelve-case-study publishing job
Consider a studio adding two case studies monthly, with industry, images, project owner and related service fields. Decide whether visitors need category filtering before designing the collection. Include long company names and missing optional images in the sample rather than testing only two perfect records.
After the designer establishes the layout, have the communications operator add a case and complete review. Where a routine field still requires the designer, decide whether access, the content model or a maintenance arrangement resolves it before choosing a longer subscription commitment.
When to retain or reconsider Framer
Retain Framer when the content model and continuing design or CMS work fit the operator. If internal record editing or customer-specific data becomes central, separate website publishing from the system maintaining business records. A newly embedded form does not by itself establish required identity and record authorization.
Document the actual paid trigger
Check domains, CMS, localization and editor roles independently. Retain the reason an additional entitlement is needed and the recurring work it enables. Where content editing and layout work are separate roles, price their actual requirements rather than assigning everyone the same level of access.
Separate the site from surrounding services at exit
Inventory URLs, CMS fields, images, translations and enquiry destinations. Separate retainable data from settings or layouts requiring reconstruction, and validate the path from old URLs to the intended new content. External booking or mailing subscriptions need their own review; ending a site plan should not be assumed to end them.
