Define the campaign’s complete scope
Consider one course promoted for three months with audience, content, dates, price and application route. If booking or payment is external, identify its owner and contract first. Distinguish a Carrd one-page explanation from a Squarespace plan expected to accumulate several courses or articles. A small initial page count does not prove the long-term scope remains one page. Conversely, a deliberately closing campaign may not need a larger content system purchased in advance. Define the complete intended journey and lifespan before comparing the builders’ smallest subscription amounts or selecting their visual templates.
When reusing a campaign, inspect dates and prices inside retained images too. Copying the page does not complete review for the new event.
Compare a focused page with recurring content work
A focused explanation with one next action can fit a deliberate single-page design. If the plan grows to ten courses, historical events and categorized articles, compare adding, finding and correcting them too. The ability to add more text to one page does not establish a maintainable content archive. A Squarespace template also does not prove that the intended categorization suits the editor. Create several examples from the six-month plan and have the operator add them. Evaluate the continuing structure rather than inferring fit from the first page’s apparent publishing speed.
Match domain and intake requirements
The verified Carrd Pro guide lists Lite at USD 9 yearly and Standard at USD 19. A domain-and-form requirement should not be budgeted automatically from Lite; match the actual feature eligibility. External booking adds confirmation and response-management responsibilities. For Squarespace, inspect the relevant subscription scope for booking, selling and forms. On both, send a disposable application and follow it until the operator can locate the receipt and respond. A successful submit screen alone does not establish a completed campaign operation or prove that all necessary subscriptions are included in the page-builder fee.
Separate the campaign period from the paid commitment
Do not quarter Carrd’s annual price merely because the campaign lasts three months. The USD 19 yearly Standard contract differs from an internal allocation to a three-month project. For Squarespace, fix the applicable region and monthly or annual commitment; no universal starting amount is asserted here. Add domain renewal, booking, payments, email and production effort. Required duration changes if the page remains as an archive or is reused for the next course. The public application window alone does not establish how long every operational capability or paid subscription must remain available.
Follow a date change through the whole journey
Simulate a changed teaching date. Check text, images, booking destination, confirmations and communication with existing applicants. If the booking system owns the schedule, reconsider maintaining another changing copy on the website. Record where the operator makes the change and who informs earlier applicants. Include recurring agency requests where necessary. Keep interface preference separate from whether the correction reaches every customer route. This makes the comparison specific to the campaign’s actual work without inventing a measured speed or ease advantage for either platform based on a polished first-screen demonstration.
Plan closure, retained records and migration
Decide what an old emailed link should show after applications close. Review retained applications, bookings or refunds and domain contracts separately. For a later move, verify export scope for text, images, URLs and responses. Squarespace content export should not be assumed to transfer every setting as a complete working package. Check effective subscription changes and remaining external charges and preserve necessary customer support before stopping. Choose from whether the focused page completes the intended job or a continuing publication becomes central, with a concrete closure plan instead of an assumed saving based solely on launch prices.
