Identify the persistent responsibilities

Returns, existing-customer requests and product corrections can continue even without new orders. Decide where historical records remain accessible and who handles them. Low sales volume is not a reason to discard the records and procedures required to support earlier transactions.

Evaluate a business-site selling model

Evaluate Squarespace or Wix for a business site that also sells, using the same product, fulfilment and payment-region requirements. The presence of a shop function does not establish replacement for the specific work currently performed by Shopify apps or custom integrations.

Treat a one-page route as a scope reduction

A Carrd page linked to an external selling service is a reduced architecture, not a like-for-like replacement for a full store. Inventory and order responsibility move somewhere else, along with their costs. Decide from who performs post-sale work, not merely from the number of products displayed.

Separate introductory offers from steady operation

Normalize base subscriptions, platform selling fees, payment processing and additional apps on both sides. Calculate the promotional period separately from an ordinary year. If the payment provider changes, verify merchant eligibility, currencies, settlement and refund conditions independently.

Decide how descriptions on the company site remain consistent with prices and availability at the selling destination. Do not count the removed page subscription as the entire saving while omitting the replacement operation.

Verify that a customer can reach the seller and find the correct support route afterward. Make responsibility for selling and responses clear across the two services rather than obscuring their different roles.
