Stabilize the source before translation
Fix mistakes and outdated figures before localization; otherwise every language inherits the same repair work. Identify one approved source revision and create a glossary for product names, departments, abbreviations and terms that should remain untranslated. Assign responsibility for meaning rather than assuming the person who operates the generation tool can approve the content.
Check proofreading access before producing
HeyGen documents a Proofread workflow for reviewing translated scripts and timing. Confirm access and charging rules for the intended plan instead of assuming they match basic translation. If approved translated text already exists, establish when it must be supplied in the workflow before starting a large batch, so the review is not repeated unnecessarily.
Review meaning before fluency
A fluent voice can still alter negation, quantity, a condition or the recipient of an instruction. Ask someone who understands the subject to review technical language, and compare the captions with the spoken version. A glossary supports consistent terms but cannot guarantee sentence-level meaning; the completed passage still needs review in context.
Approve timing and distribution too
Check whether longer translated speech falls behind an on-screen action. Review source-language labels still visible in the picture, units, captions and closing destinations. Record the approved output for each language against its source revision. This allows a later source update to trigger a specific replacement list instead of an uncertain search through all published videos.
A two-language screen tutorial
For a localized button-by-button tutorial, align the spoken instruction with the action visible on screen. A longer translated sentence may continue after the interface has already moved on. Adjust timing or wording, with subject review of any shortened instruction before rerendering. This protects comprehension instead of treating synchronized-looking mouth movement or fluent speech as the sole approval criterion.
